No support vehicles or parking is allowed on the course
Race directors decision in all matters is final
Release forms must be signed prior to racing
Written parental consent is required for persons under 18 years of age.
All proceeds from this time trial will benefit the education and advocacy programs of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
Riders will be sent off individually in thirty second intervals with NO DRAFTING ALLOWED. Starting position is determined by date of race registration. One Day Licensed riders will be first then USAC.
Course:
A fast, flat-to-rolling 12.2 mile course, with one climb to the turn-around point. The Hinckley TT course is a 6.1 mile, out-and-back course on gently rolling terrain. The course is on a very good secondary road, Route 201, with good shoulders. Outbound from the start is to the northwest. Turn-around is under police supervision near the American Legion on Route 201 near Skowhegan. This is an open course. Racers ride with traffic and are solely responsible for their own safety at all times.
Parking and registration:
Start and finish area/registration/parking is located on Route 201 in the truck parking area just south of the entrance to the Sappi Fine Paper Plant on the east side of Route 201. The address for Sappi Fine Paper is 1300 Waterville Road, Hinckley, Maine 04976
Directions: take Exit 133 off I95 then follow Route 201 north toward Skowhegan approximately 7 miles to truck parking area on east (right) side of Route 201 just south of the entrance to Sappi Fine Paper plant. From Route 2 in Skowhegan, take Route 201 south approximately 7 miles to trucking parking area on east (left) side of Route 201, just south of the entrance to Sappi Fine Paper plant.
